I love Oklahoma Weather

I love the spring time. It wasn't all that crazy but the storm season is in full effect. You can't really see it to well but the white line in the sky in this pic is a rainbow. Its getting dark but the sky is all different shades of reds and orange. Its really pretty. It has pretty much been raining for the last several days but what we Okies like to do during this time is sit out on the porch when the storms come and watch the hail, rain, wind, and tornadoes come through. We had like 12 or something today but nothing close to norman at least. Some places in OKC got hit but nothing serious. Well just wanted to share cause i know this doesn't happen in Chicago. So i am going to miss it. Chow!

Champ's is dead
Well they shut the door to the place that was my favorite place to hang. Last night a bunch of us got together to have a last wooraw at Hudson's. It was a lot of fun but also bittersweet. Everyone joked around saying we were homeless now. But what's sad at least to me is that a part of my life is now gone. I started working there back when i was 17 when back then it was Chrispy's but I made a lot of friends who i"m still friend with today because of working there. I got to know a lot of people in the community from lawyers, bankers, City Officials, coaches, OU Football players. It was a big melting pot so to speak. It was my cheers where everyone knew my name. And I felt comfortable there. It was the type of bar where you could just walk in not knowing anyone and by the time you left you made many new friends.
Well i guess it was bound to happen but nice I still have two months before i move. Where am i going to go now? Well i swear that this year is the year of changes. I remember talking to Maggie and Sarah back when they were here. And we were discussing the coming year and how we were all going into uncharted territory heading into new directions. Maggie moved to Dublin, Sarah moved to California, and I'm moving to Chicago. Several of my friends got new jobs, others complete career changes, and one got a new house. It almost feels like this is happening for a reason. That this is the turning point in my life into a completely new direction.
Well from what i heard they are moving a womens clothing store into the building and expanding the health club. So well whatever with that. That's going to be a major renovation. Well that's all i have to say so I guess as they say...you have to move on. (sigh)

The un-Luck of the Irish
Well Saturday came and went and well I don't feel to bad about it but I didn't do anything. After Friday night which I still didn't stay out that long Saturday morning I just felt blah. I didn't want to talk to anyone, I didn't want to go out. And the whole idea of drinking just felt trivial at best. So I stayed home and pretty much didn't answer my phone. Played WoW with my friend Matt since he gave up alcohol for lent. My friend Bruce was in town and after the few txt messages and not sure where he was at i just decided that i was better off at home then going out. Plus I didn't have the money to spend. I didn't know the exact amount because I didn't have my bill list in front of me, i did know I didn't have a lot. And I'm glad I didn't now. I have like 25 dollars to my name and probably after today I'll have zero. But like always the phone calls started around 3 pm and I just ignored them. Yes it would have been fun to go out and hang out but I know the next day I would have regretted it. So sorry to everyone that I didn't see and Bruce and Misty. I'm sure we will run into each other again and hopefully I'll be in a better mood.
Well the one thing that sticks in my mind is the fact that I'm moving in 2 and a half months. Nice April is going to be a busy month since I have to get ready to move out of my apartment and into my parents house. Lots of furniture to get rid of, stuff to throw out, figure out what I'll have to move up to Chicago. Its going to be busy and hectic cause work is going to be crazy then too. May is looking to be a very calm month so if I just tough it out it will be smooth sailing till i move.
Well on a upbeat note i do love my new phone. I was so used to my old one that with all the bells and whistles i have now I don't know what to do with myself. I want to take pictures of everything now just because I can. I'm not going to post them because really, do you want to see a picture of my TV or the stack of DVDs. I just love the fact that I have a camera on me at all times. Technology is great.
Well guess that's it for now. I know super exciting but I did level up my Dwarf to 27 and got a new Axe. That's exciting.

The Luck of the Irish

Well its that time of year again. And on Saturday for that matter. What makes this exciting is that its my last St Patty's Day here in Oklahoma. It will be spent with friends, lots of food, music, and I'm sure the occasional shenanigans. My friend Bruce and Misty are coming down for a visit so I'm very excited to see them as well as all their crew. I'm going to try and get my new phone tomorrow if at all possible so I can take plenty of pictures. It should be a great party. So if you see another post then you know I've survived and all is well. To everyone out there have a safe and happy St. Patrick's Day!
UPDATE: I got my new camera phone and tested it so I'm a very happy guy. I love new things. Can't wait till tomorrow to try it out.

iPhone a go-go and then some....uh, not really.
Well only probably a week and a half and I can get a new phone. I've been wanting a camera phone for a long time but I'll just have to see what is available. I txt so much that if it has a good keyboard like my phone now I could be swayed that way. Would so love to have the iPhone but I'd rather spend 50-100 dollars than 600.Well no real updates. I've been really busy with work and a few crazy unplanned nights of debauchery. So far still on track with my move to Chicago but I'm still going to leave it open in case i need to push it back. I'm kind of excited about the new phone cause i can send pictures to my blog using my phone so I hope that the camera is decent cause that's what I've always wanted. One device that does everything i need. Hmmmmmm like the iPhone!
I have started getting interested in cooking again. I've look at this site called BlogHungry that has some cool recipes that I want to try but I'm not sure if Albersons even sells most of it. especially organic. They have some items but not a lot. Plus since I only cook for myself i have to cut the amounts in half. Also if you like cupcakes you should go here. It's pretty amazing.
Well guess I'll leave it at that. Maybe something exciting will happen here in a few days and I'll have more to write. Chow!
